Delicious Hot Mama Chicken Burgers that are guilt free. Thanks to Jamie Eason, I cook all of my burgers in the oven on broil. Not only do they not dry out, they hold their flavor and shape better this way.
1lb ground chicken
1lb ground chicken sausage (mild or hot) *I use hot*
½ chopped bell pepper
1 whole chopped jalapeno
2 Tbls of garlic powder
½ chopped onion
Dash of Sea Salt
Wash your hands so you can mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Spray a baking pan with olive oil cooking spray and place 6 – 8 nice size patties on the banking pan. Set the oven to broil which is about 520 degrees, for twenty minutes. Cook on one side for ten minutes, then flip and cook on the other side for ten minutes. Top with Swiss cheese and spicy mustard and/or horseradish sauce, and serve on a whole grain bun with baked sweet potato fries on the side!
