Most of the time, when I tell people that I exercise with a trainer and changed my eating habits for the better, they ask, “How long did it take you to see results?” I don’t like to answer those type of questions, for the following reasons:
- Each person burns and stores calories differently.
- Each person has different fitness levels that they start from.
- Each person has a different determination and focus.
Its hard to say that if you do P90X you will lose 30lbs in 90 days like I did because you could lose more or less depending on: genetics, capability, and your determination. The main thing is to not worry about how long it will take you to reach any goal in life, and instead focus on staying the course until you reach that goal. Whether it takes you 90 days, 1 year, or a decade, never give up. What difference does it make how long its going to take you to lose the weight if you’re going to make it a lifestyle anyways. If you make it a lifestyle, well then you have a lifetime to reach your goal. Consistency and effort is how you reach your goals, no matter what they are.
The only time you fail at something is when you completely give up. As long as you take the opportunity to keep trying and keep getting better, you’re still succeeding.
