Weight loss is one of those things that I believe we already know how to do, but don’t know how to put into action until we are disgusted with ourselves. It’s like we’ve had a brain lapse or something. Discover what works for you and stick with it. Plenty of people like myself give advice online on how to lose weight. The fact of the matter is, it all works if you work it. You have to find the solution that works best for your body, your abilities, and your lifestyle.
Weight loss generally requires some type of sacrifice in order to achieve whatever your goals are. For me, I have to sacrifice time by getting up early to exercise and large portions of high calorie foods such as the praline cheesecake at Pappadeaux (my fave btw…). The sacrifice is always worth it in the end.
Our lives are a direct result of the choices we’ve made in life. If you are dissatisfied with the way you look, start making different decisions that can change the way you look today. Don’t wait until next Sunday, or the 1st of the month, or tomorrow; do it now. Even me, I am guilty of searching for other ways to lose weight, when I already know what works for me. That being said, I am back on the P90X workout regimen, and back tracking my calories in MFP (MyFitnessPal). I spent two months trying to find a simpler way to lose weight that resulted in a disaster of epic proportions. I loss nothing, and gained it all back. Not too smart since I knew better.
There is no simple way for me to lose weight. Genetically, it is very easy for me to gain weight. I have to not only monitor my calorie intake, but I have to exercise, and there is no way around it. It’s all about applying what we already know to real life situations. Take control of your life with self-control, and smarter choices.
